Stressed? You're not alone. Stress can wreak havoc on our health and wellness. Stress makes our bodies release hormones like cortisol. Prolonged high levels of cortisol can cause weight gain, muscle weakness, and headaches. Unfortunately, stress is a part of life. Life has its ups and downs with work, finances, family, and other factors. It's how we manage our stress that matters. 

Some healthy ways to manage stress are exercise, connecting with others, meditation, or prayer. Unhealthy ways of coping with stress, such as turning to drugs or alcohol, can cause other health problems. In some cases, journaling can be a great way to manage stress. Others may wish to seek counseling. Find ways to manage and bring down stress levels for your future health!
